| The Ebony Lemur got its name because it is only found in the forests surrounding Ebony Peak. This creature was frequently hunted and poached in the past for its luxurious fur, making them now in danger of extinction. Green Shield is involved in an extensive effort to try and save the species, but as the number of lemurs in the wild decreases every year, their efforts are not enough. The ring-tailed ebony lemur is both the most common and most popular of all the lemur breeds. This monkey is very active and can get into some trouble if not properly exercises daily. They are inquisitive and require a lot of effort to keep entertained and out of trouble if kept as pets. |
