1. Getting Started

a. Registration and Login

Before you can access any feature on the site or adopt any, you must first be registered on the forums. The forum actually serves as the registration and login center for the rest of the site. When you are logged into the forums, the main site will recognize you as a member and allow you to use the site's features. Registering is simple! Just pick a username and a secure password and fill out the required forms. Just click the register button and you'll be all set to login with your username and password. Make sure you use a valid email address when registering because if you ever need to reset your password, a valid email is the only way to do so. Click here to register or login here.

b. Adopting and raising your first pet

Once you are registered and login, it's simple to go about adopting your first pets (Called "DNAdoptables). There are many pets on this site to collect and raise, but some are pretty rare and hard to get. As a new user, the fastest and easiest way to get your first DNAdoptable is to visit the Thrift Store. There are many DNAdoptables to obtain in the Thrift Store and they are completely free! You can adopt as many of these critters as you wish and raise them at your own pace. To adopt one, just click its image and the confirmation link. The new DNAdoptable is now yours! Now that you have adopted your first pet, it's time to customize and raise it. Click the "My Lab" link on the very top of this page. This will take you to a list with all the other DNAdoptables you have collected. You should see the pet you've just adopted on this page. Click its image to be taken to that pet's page. Here you can rename your DNAdoptable by typing a new name in the box and clicking "rename". You can name your new pet whatever you want! The image of the pet will update with it's new name. Looking at the image, you'll notice your pet has a "level" too. This level shows the progress your pet is making as it grows up. You must raise your DNAdoptable's level by getting other people to click on its image and level it up. The best way to do this is to post it in your signature on forums. You can find the different codes to display your DNAdoptable. Depending on where you are posting it, you'll need to select the right code. If you would like to post it on our forums, you can use the special code it gives you. Getting people to click your DNAdoptable is the key to raising it to it's full potential! Some DNAdoptables will grow up at certain levels, but not all do! To find which creatures grow at which levels, check the "Guide" on the top of every page.

c. Money, money, money!

Sure, free pets from the Thrift Store are great, but you'll need something more to get the truly rare and unique pets. There is where money comes in. As you can see, on the left hand side of the screen the amount of money you have is displayed. This DNA Cash can be used to buy new pets, items, and other things. How do you get money? By leveling DNAdoptables! Every time you level a DNAdoptable, you'll get between $10-$15 in cash. You can check the forum to find Research Exchange or the Research Center under the "Explore" link. Both of these places will have DNAdoptables for you to click and raise. By helping other people raise their pets, you can be rewarded as well!
